Today Mojang released Minecraft 1.8.4, a update that they say fixes some security issues along with some more bugs found in Minecraft 1.8.
This update is compatible with all 1.8.x versions and all servers running 1.8. We have updated to 1.8.4 today and haven't seen any new bugs yet.
