1.8 Features

It's been awhile since I've updated everyone on the status of the 1.8 update, here it is.

1.8 Update:
There is no known update coming to Bukkit. There are other things like Bukkit arising, such as Sponge, Husk, and Rainbow. We will use whichever one of these (we're currently leaning towards Sponge) that will be the fastest to update to with the least amount of plugins broken. While none of the other options are finished yet, we are keeping a close eye on the progress.

1.8 Features on Crafting Crafter?
What we are currently running allows both 1.7 and 1.8 clients to log in and play, without the features of 1.8, if we add the following then we will only allow 1.8 clients to join.

A very amazing few developers decided to create a resource on Spigot which adds most of the 1.8 features into the game. Whether or not we add this to our server is yet to be decided.

They have added almost everything in 1.8 into the plugin. The developers are constantly putting out updates and working on the plugin to try and add in everything in the 1.8 update.

Why haven't we added the plugin to Crafting Crafter?
We haven't yet added it to CC because we do not know how stable the plugin is. For an example, we don't want to use it and then find out that the world generation features or blocks in it isn't compatible with the 1.8 update when it actually comes out.

When we are sure the plugin is stable and won't cause issues, we will add it into the server. Hopefully this will be sooner other than later so we can start playing around with the new blocks!
