Minecraft 1.8 is out, we will soon be updated to a build of Bukkit allowing players on both 1.7 and 1.8 clients to connect. None of the new 1.8 items will be added into the game yet, and it is still recommended you play on 1.7.
Username changes:
Mojang has stated that the ability to change your username won't be functioning when the update is released, they are planning to wait a little while before making it possible.
Updating/Downgrading your client:
Most of you probably have your Minecraft settings set to automatically update to the next update when it's released. If you update you will not be able to log on to Crafting Crafter, until we update the server (or if you downgrade your client to 1.7). We plan to get a protocol update done quickly after the update, this will allow 1.8 clients to connect to the server without actually adding the new blocks and items into the game. Therefore everyone can still play.
