An Update About Updating.

It's now been around a week since we've updated to the protocol build of Spigot allowing both 1.7 and 1.8 clients to connect to the server, here's an update of what's happened in the past week or two.

A retired developer at Bukkit submitted a DMCA take-down request of all Bukkit and Spigot builds.
Bukkit has since taken down all CraftBukkit builds, and most of the developers on it have resigned/retired from working on Bukkit. Spigot then followed suit and took down the ability to access their builds.

This all happened around a week ago. Since then, Bukkit has pretty much crumbled and nothing has been said on whether or not it's going to update to 1.8. Spigot has found a way around the DMCA and has been posting updates when they can, whether or not Spigot will release a full 1.8 update hasn't been announced yet. A lot of key developers in the Minecraft community are working on creating a new modding API called 'Sponge'. Sponge may or may not work out in the distant future, I say distant because they have to completely code the API from the ground up, then all of the plug-in developers that want to change over to Sponge would have to do so.

So for now, we're stuck on 1.7/1.8 without the ability to use the majority of the new 1.8 features.
There will be a update for 1.8, whether it's sooner or later we cannot say (I know we're all hoping sooner) but in the meantime, look for us to be releasing some cool new and long wanted updates to the server while we wait.
