1.7.2 Update Information, Bukkit Released! November Playtime Winners!

I just wanted to give you all a quick update on how the update is going.

Today bukkit released the first two development builds for 1.7.2, these are highly unstable and we will not run them because of that. In the next one - two weeks, bukkit should have a stable-er build out, that we can then run.

We do, however have to wait for more then just bukkit, along with bukkit we also have many plug-ins that need updating. With our maps being reset, there are some plug-ins that will be trickier to update then others, and it also takes time to find bugs, fix bugs, copy buildings to our new maps and so on.

I ask that you all please be patient while we go through our update process, meanwhile here's a quick view at our update process:

How do we update the server?
First, we check the bukkit website daily for new updated builds, after a stable build is released, I then (the admins help as well!) start up the CC test server, and run each of our plug-ins one at a time, to see if they run cleanly (meaning no errors), the ones that do, I leave alone. The ones that don't, get moved to a separate folder for me to then look into more and check for updates on those plug-ins. Once all of our plug-ins are updated and it all runs cleanly, since this update includes map changes, I will then create the new maps on the test server and start copying over buildings like the spawn etc.. when that is finished, we check once or twice thoroughly through everything to double check for bugs that we missed. After that, we upload, fix whatever new bugs we find and hope it runs nice and well :)

Please be patient, we are working as hard as we can to get this updated, most of it is waiting patiently for the plug-ins/bukkit to update! -Lme
