As stated at mojang.com, Mojang plans to put out a bug fix update for 1.6.1 (1.6.2).
As said on the mojang website:
"We're planning to post this release on: Monday July 8th"
This is all a bug fix update, and we will still have to wait for bukkit (CC) and the Mod developers (FTB) to update before we can update the servers.
